Walter H. Bjorson,

ATHOL - Walter H. Bjorson, Jr., 68 of 407 Unity Avenue, Athol, died Sunday, December 11, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Gardner, on April 9, 1943, the son of the late Walter H. and the late Virginia (Mundell) Bjorson, Sr. Walter lived in Gardner until 1952 when he moved to Athol. He graduated from Athol High School in 1962. He worked at the former Union Twist Drill for twenty four years and later for Modern Contract Furniture for thirteen years. Walter was a member of the Franco American Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family and meeting friends for coffee everyday.  He leaves one daughter, Lori A. Cameron and Gary Cannon of Athol; two sisters, Sandra H. McLaughlin of New Salem, Doreen C. Wicklund and her husband Randy of Amherst, MA; five grandchildren, Phillip Cameron, Andrew Cameron, Zachary Cameron, Erik Cameron, Kalie Cameron; two great grandchildren, Riley Cameron, Payton Cameron; a niece, Kellie Ballard; a nephew, Ryan Cucchi; two great nieces, Emilie Ballard and Mya Ballard. He was predeceased by his daughter, Tammi L. Bjorson who died in 1994 and by his brother-in-law, Jon C. "Tanka" McLaughlin who died in July of this year. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Fiske-Murphy and Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange. Burial will private at a later date in Silver Lake Cemetery.  A calling hour will be held Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
