Walter J. Jarvi,

ATHOL - Walter J. Jarvi, Jr., 50, of 958 South Main St. Apt. 3, Athol, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 12, 2009 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester. He was born in Athol on January 12, 1959, the son of the late Walter J. and the late Leona D. (Hoke) Jarvi. Walter was raised in Phillipston and attended Narragansett High School. He held various jobs over the years and was a mechanic for Cycle Design in Phillipston in the early 1970's. He had worked for the Town of Phillipston and also for the All Sport Cycle Service in Orange. He loved motorcycles and enjoyed spending time with his companion of twenty-three years, Sally A. (Cochran) Orluk of Athol. He leaves two cousins, Donna McCoy of New York, Howie Drury of Gardner; and his good friends, Francis Bushey of Athol, Jeff Castine, Big Old Tanker, and Woody, all of Orange.
