GARDNER - Walter C. Penzinski, 73, formerly of 189 Connors St., Gardner died Sunday, November 13, 2011 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence, Worcester.
He was born in Gardner, on October 25, 1938, the son of the late Charles F. Penzinski and the late Jennie (Hajkowski) (Penzinski) Comeau.
Walter owned and operated had his own trucking company Penzinski Trucking for many years. He was employed by Mead Containers in Gardner and he was also employed by the City of Gardner, Department of Public Works for several years.
He enjoyed Cadillac's, heavy equipment, civil defense, antique train sets, collecting items and tinkering with tools.
He leaves six sisters, Alice Dorsey of Braintree, MA, Margaret Wade of Lakeworth, FL, Eleanor Landry of Nashville, TN, Elizabeth Landry of Baldwinville, Cecilia Archibald of Gardner, Irene Seitz of Gardner; one brother: Richard Penzinski of Hunter, WA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, John Penzinski who died in 1977.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 21, 2011 at 11:00 am in St. Joseph's Church, 358 Pleasant St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held Monday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant St., Gardner.
