ROYALSTON - Wayne N. Taylor, 73 of 189 Warwick Road, Royalston, died Monday, February 5, 2007, in the UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester.
He was born in Montague, on February 3, 1934, the son of the late Warren and the late Maude A. (Carey) Taylor.
He was a machine operator, employed by the J.F. McElwain Shoe Company and prior was a mechanic at the N.D. Cass Toy Company.
Wayne enjoyed being outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and the wildflowers that grew in his yard. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Loyce (Dawson) Taylor; two daughters, Doris Taylor of Greenfield, Diana LeRoy of Athol and her partner Madeline DeFranc of Phillipston; two sisters, Janice Corser of Athol, Rosie Ramsdell of Orange; four grandchildren, Michael Taylor of CA, Cheyanne Vongphakdy of CA, William LeRoy of Leominster, Andrew LeBlanc of Athol; and three great grandchildren, Tyler Vongphakdy, Dominique Vongphakdy and Kyle Vongphakdy all of CA.
He was predeceased by his son, Victor Taylor who died in 1982.
A memorial service will be held
Friday, February 23, 2007, at 10:00 am in Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial will be in the spring at Jonas Alliene Cemetery, Royalston.
A calling hour will be held Friday, February 23, 2007, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
