LUNENBURG- Wayne W. Aho Sr., 83, of Lunenburg, died Sunday, April 13, after an illness.
He was born June 12, 1930, in Fitchburg, son of the late Waino and Eva (Belyea) Aho. He served in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict and later in the US Air Force. Not one to stay idle, Wayne had an undying work ethic. He worked as a licensed plumber for over 45 years; was a member of the Local 92 and Local 4 Plumber’s Union, and was an avid gardener and landscaper, and also enjoyed fishing. He could fix just about anything, and had a witty sense of humor. His children were his life.
He leaves four children, Wayne W. Jr. and his wife Rena of Leominster; William W. and his wife Nancy, of Lunenburg; Sharon Aho of Leominster; and Melanie Patterson and her husband, David of Fitzwilliam, NH; His grandchildren, Tara, Megan, Danaca, Melanie, Rebecca-Lyn, Stephanie, Melanie, Christopher, Brandon, Sarah, and Rachel; numerous great grandchildren; four sisters, Shirley, Betty, Carol (deceased), and Violet; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend for over 80 years, Bill Morrill of Swanzey, NH.
He was predeceased by his (former) wife, Agnes M. (Frole) Aho.

Funeral services are private under the direction of Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
