Wenonah P. Grucan

ATHOL - Wenonah P. (McLean) Grucan, 83, of 37 Union Street, Athol, died on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in the Athol Memorial Hospital. She was born in Athol on July 25, 1927, the daughter of the late Royal and the late Doris (Cormier) McLean. She was raised and education in Baldwinville. She was a homemaker for most of her life and volunteered her time as a Boy Scout Leader for eight years and a Girl Scout Leader for fifteen years. She enjoyed people and was a wonderful mother. She leaves a daughter, Linda Favreau and her husband Ronnie of Athol; two grandchildren, Nicole Smart and Luke Smart of Athol; and five special people that came into her life, they gave her love and made her smile: Shawn, Savannah, Sadey, Kane, and Jacob; also many extended relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of sixty years, John M. "Yarne" Grucan, on February 18, 2008. A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Vincent De Paul Church, Baldwinville. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
