LEOMINSTER - Wilfred A Lemoine, 84 of 11 Sixth St., Leominster, died at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI on March 1st, 2008 while visiting his family in Waukesha, WI.
He was born on March 23rd, 1923 the son of the late Wilfred C. Lemoine and Rose (LaFleur) Lemoine. Graduating from Leominster High in 1941, he immediately enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served in the European Theatre until his discharge in 1945. He was a Manufacturing Engineer and retired from Digital Equipment Corporation in 1988. Golf, Tennis, fishing, target shooting, HAM radio, playing the guitar, harmonica and building/flying radio controlled airplanes were hobbies he enjoyed. He was a lifetime member of Leominster Sportsman Association. Young at heart, he obtained his MA Motorcycle license at age 80.
Ruth (Cosseboom), his late wife of 53 years was always in his thoughts. He leaves one son William Lemoine and his wife Charlene of Waukesha, WI; grandson Bret Lemoine of Peoria, IL; brother Everett of Nashua, NH; brother-in-law Robert Cosseboom of Leominster; niece Sheila Severens and her husband Marty of Lunenburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Our Lady of the Lake Church at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 in the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
