ORANGE- William "Bill" L. Bacigalupo, Jr., 64, of Orange, died Monday, April 6, surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness.
Bill was born November 11, 1950, in Athol, son of the late William L. Sr. and Frances J. (Kellogg) Bacigalupo. He grew up in the Farley Flats section of Erving.
He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam achieving the rank of Lance Corporal and receiving the Purple Heart Medal.
Bill worked for Parks Steel and Plastic Co. both in Gardner. He also worked for the Department of Public Works in both Athol and Orange, and Walmart in Orange.
He was a member of the Marine Corps League, Pequoig Detachment #1168, and the American Legion Orange Post #172. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing softball.
He leaves his wife of 18 years, Kimberly A. (Kelton) Bacigalupo; two sons, David A. Bacigalupo and his wife, Kelly and Eric J. Bacigalupo, all of Florida; one daughter, Tammy Jeane Bacigalupo of WA; three stepsons, Larry, Brandon, and Kyle Bezio, all of Orange; eleven grandchildren, Ian of Orange, David, Dylan, Briana, Katelynn, and Olivia all of FL, Lillian of NC, Ciara, Ivy, Elisa, and Bella, all of WA; three brothers, Michael A. Bacigalupo and his wife, Bonnie, Richard J. Bacigalupo and his wife, Elsa, all of Athol, and Mark A. Bacigalupo of Holyoke; two sisters, Nancy A. Bacigalupo and Dawn Maroni and her husband, John, all of Athol; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Kelton of Athol; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dawn and Joseph and Deborah and Leo, all of Athol; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, April 15, at 9:30 A. M. In Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd, Orange. Burial with military honors will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon.
Calling hours are Tuesday, April 14, from 5:00 to 7:00 P. M. in the funeral home.
