William H. Crawford

William H.Crawford, age 96, died April 20th with his loving wife of 29 years, Ruth, by his side. Formerly a longtime resident of Brookline, he was currently living at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol. Retired Commander in the U.S. Navy, retired President of New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences, longtime member of United Parish in Brookline, Rotarian, graduate of Ohio Weslyan, and PHD from Washington University, St.Louis. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit and quiet wisdom which touched many lives. He is survived by his wife Ruth, stepchildren Kirk James, Brookline, Elizabeth Kincannon, Wayland, Kyle Carey, Oakham, and Barbara Rainey, AZ. Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His loving nieces and nephews, William Jennings,Wareham,Andrew Jennings,Billerica, Ralph Jennings,NE, Helen Lelievre, CT.,Catherine Bander,VA, Francis Asano,WA and John Bander,OR. He was predeceased by his first wife Jane, sisters Emma Jennings and Helen Bander, and his grandson Peter James. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
