William J Horne

Phillipston- William J. Horne “Billy”, 68, of Phillipston, Ma, passed away on June 5th, 2013 after a heroic battle with cancer. Billy was born May 24, 1945 to Charlotte and Francis Horne and was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Ronald, and will be laid to rest in the family burial plot in Ashland, Ma. Billy is survived by his loving daughter, Robin Thompson and her fiancé Gary Towsley of Naples, Florida, his son Ronald and his wife Victoria of Bourne, Ma, his brother Francis and his wife Linda of Houlton, ME, 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Other special friends left to cherish Billy's memories are Richard and Gail Giargiari of Chandler, Okla. David and Tammy Bennett of Rindge N.H. and Bob and Mary Steele of Framingham,MA and many other friends. Billy grew up in Ashland, Ma and graduated from Ashland High School in 1963. He owned his own trucking company for several years. He was an avid motorcycle rider, reader, gardener, hunter, and a superb master of the culinary arts. He took great delight in sharing his famous desserts with the nurses who tended to him during his various stays at U-Mass hospital.
