William P. Lively

ATHOL - William P. Lively, 80 of 68 Harrington Street, Athol, died Friday, October 26, 2012 in the Athol Memorial Hospital. He was born in Greenfield, on July 30, 1932, the son of the late Oscar and the late Eunice (Baker) Lively. He was raised in Colrain and attended the ARMS Academy in Shelborne Falls.  Many years ago, he worked for Scotty's Esco service station in Griswoldville and Kendall Mills.  He had also worked for Taylor Buick in Athol.  More recently, Mr. Lively worked for the L. S. Starrett Tool Company's shipping room and Department 9 for forty years until his retirement in 1995.  He was a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church and enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He leaves his wife of 57 years:  Norma H. (Wright) Lively; one son: Kenneth P. Lively and his wife Andrea of Royalston; two daughters:  Kim M. Lively of Athol, Kelly A. Lively of Rehoboth; two granddaughters: Shannah Zinkievich and her husband Adam of Enfield, CT, Heather Lively of Royalston and her fiancé Jason Goodhind of Hadley.           A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 29, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol.  Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday from 9 - 10:15 at the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Athol High School Scholarship Association, P.O.
