GARDNER - Winifred Hannah Delay, 93, of 47 Sunrise Lane, Gardner died Wednesday, January 21, 2009. She was born in Greenville, NH the daughter of Henry B. and Margaret (Courtney) Delay. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, a member of the former Gardner Emblem Club, a member of the Former Catholic Women's Club of Gardner, she was a member of the Gardner American Legion Post No. 129 Auxiliary, member of the Heywood Hospital Aid Association, she was an active member of the Fr. Rober Drinan Political Circle and was a volunteer in many Gardner organizations. She leaves two sisters, Margaret M. of Gardner, Eunice S. Scanlon of Fitchburg and many nieces and nephews.
