LEOMINSTER- Yvette (Belliveau) Cormier, 79, of Leominster, passed away Friday, December 8, in her home, after an illness.
Yvette was born July 29, 1938, in Moncton, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Guillaume and Aline (Leger) Belliveau. She moved to Leominster in 1960. Mrs. Cormier worked for New Form as an office manager before retiring in 1983. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, and collecting Knick knacks. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She leaves her husband of 61 years, Gilles J. Cormier; three grandchildren, Joshua Drury and his wife, Brianna, Nicholas Drury, and Melissa Lacey; three great grandchildren, Amanda Lacey, Samantha Lacey, and Jayden Drury; her son in law, Eric Drury; three sisters, Rose Bourgeois and her husband, Gerry, Diane Ferrari and her husband, Leo, and Giselle Gallant and her husband, Steve.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Monique Drury, on July 1, 2000. She was also predeceased by her brother, William Belliveau, Jr., and one sister, Claudette Cormier.
Calling hours will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 from 11AM-12PM at Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St. Leominster.
